Mariola Lichacz moved to Santa Cruz, California to pursue the production of this television show which had been in the planning for some years. Over the course of more than a few years, the ideas and concepts of a medium formulated, shaped and shape shifted.
In 2007, Mariola became a member of Community Cable Television Santa Cruz, volunteering hours on several shows throughout the year. By the end of the year, she had inherited a show – Club Cruz – which had been running for eleven years. The project to save Club Cruz from its demise along with the ongoing design and development of Lucid Universe has bridged the past with the present and future.
Santa Cruz, California has been recognized as a city of activists, pacifists and naturists. Adding to the diversity, Mariola has brought the flavor of her New York and international presence to the town that once was the headquarters to the Hippie Movement. Now East Coast meets West Coast in a determined intention to bridge the spirit with culture, technology with intelligence, past with future and clarity within chaos.
